To Spin A New Thread

“The world continues to spin, as we spin with it, sometimes it seems, the opposite direction.”

The world continues to spin, as we spin with it, sometimes it seems, the opposite direction. It is true that we can cause ourselves our own pain and that of others, by our whirling mind of fear and doubt. History shows this, its part of our DNA, part of what makes us human, flawed in our attempts to spin forward.

“To this there is no easy answer, no elixir, no beauty so profound to sooth our ills.”

In our efforts to unravel, we weave another tenuous path, adding insult to injury to our uncertain terrain. To this there is no easy answer, no elixir, no beauty so profound to sooth our ills. It is perhaps found within our consistent undoing that unties the knots, knowing this pattern exists, and persist to unweave. To move forward against the tide is inevitably, living, and to spin with the stars is human, to know who we are and the complexities within. Our existence need not be to tie and untie, but to create a more linear path, building bridges that swing, sway and reach. This is how the future is created, an alchemy of mind and making. To untie and to create. To spin a new thread.

Thought To Action

“What will it take to move us forward into a better way of being, whatever better means to each.”

In light of everything troubling in our world, what is the possibility for change? What will it take to move us forward into a better way of being, whatever better means to each. Better is subjective clearly, but a needed goal non the less. But what is that? What will it take to start that trajectory, so that we may begin the changes we so desperately need.

“It is the need to express our want to change, that creates change.”

Possibility, is both thought and action: a stone thrown, a ripple created. But as the ripples dissipate, it is perspective and intent that continues the underground movement, outward and thus forward. It is the why that creates the deepest vibration, a clarity of why we create, whether it is an object or thought, both create change. It is clarity of intent that moves possibility from thought into reality: the why before the what. This is how change moves, from the gut, to the brain and then to the hand. It is the need to express our want to change, that creates change. To articulate one’s desire does not need a particular box, it needs a voice and ears to hear: a stone to throw, circles of the like minded.

Nurturing Ourselves

“Our need to take care of each other continues to be our constant, especially in times of difficulty.”

It is said that our innate emotions of love and affection is what has allowed our species to thrive and progress forward. Our need to take care of each other continues to be our constant, especially in times of difficulty. This is what defines and unites us in the circle of life and nature, why our homes are so much a part of who we are, our traditions and hopes for the future.

“We build homes, shrines to all that we deem beautiful, especially those we share our spaces with.”

As sentient beings we have the capacity towards romance, not only for others but how we see the world and the way we live. We have a favorite place to sit, a special loved one, and often the two combine. We build homes, shrines to all that we deem beautiful, especially those we share our spaces with. This is how we expand our affections, surrounding ourselves with what and who we love.

“This is how life moves, threaded, to everyone and everything.”

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but too in the hand of the possessor: the nurturer and nurtured. How we care for ourselves, those within our circle of affections, the earth we inhabit, and even those we do not know, dents the hurling future and the moments that pass. This is how life moves, threaded, to everyone and everything.

“We are nurtured by what we find to be personally beautiful, transfixed and transported by a rounded stone as we are by the carved and ornate.”

Surrounding ourselves with beauty is a mirror to who we are and what we believe to be possible, or at least hopeful. We are nurtured by what we find to be personally beautiful, transfixed and transported by a rounded stone as we are by the carved and ornate. This speaks to our need to wonder, possess and even coddle, echoing back to our ancestry of hunt and gather, traditions of romance, shelter and sheltering. How we live is how we see beauty, grateful to receive as we are to give.
